We are now in the outreach stage of the film. Our goal is to reach as many people as possible. The Accidental Advocate tackles the science, politics and ethics of embryonic stem cell research, and our hope is that it will engage and move the public and policymakers.
These are our immediate outreach fundraising needs:
Engage We are planning screening events with schools and organizations across the country to engage the public in a more informed dialogue about the science and politics of stem cell research
Educate We are developing a more potent website that will be a permanent educational tool that includes lesson plans, viewing guides, unedited interviews, and links to resources
Impact We are building a promotional campaign around the DVD launch to generate the largest possible audience for the film, including speaking events with Claude Gerstle, which brings press and passion to the issue
