Jessica Gerstle
Producer/Director

Jessica covered breaking news stories for NBC News and produced hour long specials for Dateline NBC for twelve years before leaving to independently produce her first film, The Accidental Advocate. Her investigative hour, Justice for Shannon, uncovered corruption in the sex crimes unit of the Philadelphia Police Department. She won an Emmy for her segment An Ounce of Prevention, about violence prevention programs for adolescents in the wake of the school shootings in Kentucky and Colorado. Gerstle has always had a particular interest in medical stores. She earned her bachelor's degree from Barnard College in history.

Claude Gerstle
Correspondent

Claude was dedicated to patient care for over thirty years before he became disabled in a bicycle accident. He founded a full service ophthalmologic clinical practice that focused on the diagnosis, management and surgical/medical treatment of ocular diseases. Though Dr. Gerstle can no longer serve his patients needs, he still loves medicine and science. He has always been active in MIT, where he graduated in '68. For the last three years he has been a trustee of MIT's Corporation.

Nancy Novack
Editor

Nancy has been editing documentary and feature films for 18 years. Her work has appeared on HBO, PBS, MSNBC, the History Channel, and Discovery Times and has bee featured at the Sundance, Venice and Tribeca film festivals. Some recent projects include for PBS: Frontline's Failure to Protect, which earned the DuPont journalism award and Broadway: The American Musical, which won an Emmy for best non-fiction series. Novack most recently edited Spike Lee's When the Levees Broke, for HBO, for which she won a 2007 Emmy for "Outstanding Picture Editing for Nonfiction Programming". Novack received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg School of Communications.

Brian Kamerzel
Editor

Brian got his start working as an assistant editor for the History and Biography channels, HBO, and various films. He began working as an editor for PBS: Frontline and has gone on to cut other programs for PBS, MTV and a number of independently produced documentaries. While continuing to work as an editor, Kamerzel has also been making his own films, most recently, the hour long documentary, the Art of Leaving, about the life and art of a Romanian immigrant. the film has gone on to play in a number of festivals and venues throughout the United States and Canada. Kamerzel received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Laura Rabhan
Producer

Laura has directed and produced documentaries, special programs, news-segments, and series for a wide range of media outlets. Her work has appeared on Frontline PBS, Nightline ABC, Dateline NBC, the History Channel and MSNBC. Rabhan has won several journalism and film festival awards for her work as reporter and director, most recently winning a 2006 Emmy for "Outstanding Achievement in an Individual Craft: Research" on a documentary that aired on the History Channel about the civil rights era of the 1940s-60s. Rabhan holds an MS from the Columbia University School of Journalism.

Laura Winn Clark
Producer

Laura has associate and field produced documentaries for Discovery Channel and MSNBC. Coming Home, on the recovery process of wounded veterans returning from Iraq was a winner of the Chris Award, the Cine Masters Series Award, the Cine Special Jury Award, and won second place for broadcast Documentary in the 2006 National Headliner Awards. Clark received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University.

Jacob Seligmann
Composer

Jacob began his composing career at age five when he wrote a song on the piano for his grandfather entitled, "I Want to Go to Playland." It was a hit. His grandfather took him to Playland, and Seligmann learned that music could actually get him somewhere. Seligmannn has been performing his songs and composing music ever since. He began scoring to the picture as a student at Brown University, where he graduated with a degree in music composition with a focus on film. He has composed music for over twenty-five documentaries that have aired on NBC, PBS, Sundance Channel, Discovery Channel, and others.
